The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) has notified the Lake McQueeney WCID Board that the liquidated damages provisions in the construction contract with Sundt are currently under discussion and are being enforced in accordance with the terms of the contract.
Liquidated damages are a standard contract mechanism that allows an owner to recover agreed-upon costs when a project extends beyond the scheduled completion date. GBRA is applying these provisions as outlined in the contract to ensure accountability and protect the interests of the community.
