7-22-2025 Monthly Project Update
The Board of Directors for Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (LMWCID 1, or “the District”) would like to provide residents an update on the work performed so far at the dam for the Lake McQueeney Spillgate Replacement and Dam Armoring Project.
Schedule Status:
Due to impacts from the June flooding event, the revised substantial completion date is December 9, 2025. This does not include impacts from the July flooding events. Assessment and impacts from July flooding are being assessed.
Current Work Status:
Bay 2 concrete spillway slab 4.2 – Completed
South abutment concrete lift 1 – Completed
South abutment concrete lift 2 – Ongoing
Pier 2 – Ongoing
McQueeney control building concrete walls – completed
Stop log storage foundation – Completed
Generator – Completed
North Embankment dam armoring – Ongoing
South Embankment dam armoring – Ongoing

Bay 3 & 2 hinge support slab
South abutment concrete lift 2 & 3
Set HPU
Control building modifications and concrete roof
