Resident Update: Anticipated Lake Elevation During Construction

January 10, 2022

A question that has been discussed in meetings and asked through the website is the anticipated lake elevation during construction. The Board of Directors has obtained information regarding the anticipated lake elevation from the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) and would like to pass that information on to residents.

Per the GBRA: “Lake McQueeney’s full pond elevation is 528.8 feet. The lowest water elevation at the dam, during construction, will be 515.3 feet. The water elevation, at the dam, will be 12.5 – 13.5 feet below the full pond elevation during construction. The current water elevation, at the dam, is approximately 18 inches below full pond elevation. River flow and river channel configuration will control upstream elevations.”

If residents have additional questions regarding construction elevation or the project timeline beyond the information posted to the website news feed or documents page, please feel free to contact the District through the Contact Us page on the website.
