5-12-2025 Monthly Project Update
The Board of Directors for Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (LMWCID 1, or “the District”) would like to provide residents an update on the work performed so far at the dam for the Lake McQueeney Spillgate Replacement and Dam Armoring Project.
Schedule Status:
Substantial completion date is set for early November 2025

- Bay 3 concrete foundation 2nd lift – Completed
- Bay 3 concrete spillway slab 3.1 lift - Completed
- Bay 3 concrete spillway slab 3.2 & 3.3 – Started
- Bay 3 concrete spillway slab 4.1 - Started
- Bay 2 concrete foundation 1st lift - Completed
- Bay 2 concrete foundation 2nd lift – Started
- McQueeney control building concrete – Started
- Maintenance bridge bent caps – Completed
- Maintenance bridge steel spans assembly –Ongoing
- Stop log storage foundation – Ongoing
- North Embankment dam armoring – Ongoing
- South Embankment dam armoring – Restarted
