At the November 12, 2020 Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 board meeting, the board of directors gave public notice of an election contest filed against the District and its directors by Steven and Nancy Bruington. The first hearing of the lawsuit, ORDER: No. 20-2549-CV-C, Bruington v. Lake McQueeney WCID No. 1, et al, in the 25th District Court, will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 9:00 A.M., and proceedings can be viewed on a county-provided YouTube link to be posted as an update to this article the day of the hearing.
